BECKLEY - The Raleigh County Board of Education announced on Tuesday, Feb. 18, that they are making a change to the school calendar that affects students this week.
According to a release, Raleigh County students have missed 14 days of instruction this school year. To help compensate for the missed instruction days, there will be school on Friday, Feb. 21. However, it will not be a full day of school. Kids will be released three hours early on Friday. That is to provide time for faculty senate meetings.
