WVEA-PAC Endorses Judicial Candidates

CHARLESTON, W.Va. − WVEA-PAC met on Saturday, October 13 to finalize their endorsements for the November 6 General Election. WVEA-PAC endorsed the following candidates: WV Supreme Court of Appeals – Joanna Tabit (Division 1) and Jeffrey Kessler (Division 2).

WVEA-PAC Chairperson Dale Lee comments on the WV Supreme Court candidates, “I believe we have endorsed two individuals, Tabit and Kessler, who will truly represent the interests of our public schools, education employees and working West Virginians. Judge Tabit is a proven jurist who is fair and thoughtful in her decisions. Kessler is a former state senator who has a proven record of voting for our students and school employees. Both these individuals would be outstanding justices on our state Supreme Court.”

Additionally, WVEA-PAC endorsed Tera Salango for Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge. “Tera Salango is a proven advocate for the citizens of Kanawha County. She has been fair and consistent in her actions in the prosecutor’s office. We believe she will carry those qualities forward and make a wonderful Circuit Judge,” said Lee.

WVEA-PAC is the independent, political arm of the West Virginia Education Association (WVEA), the state’s largest teacher organization.
