Working family rallies scheduled for four cities

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The labor movement in West Virginia and the state Democratic Party have what they call “Working Family” rallies scheduled for next week.

The rallies are in connection with encouraging people to get out and vote this election year.

Rallies are scheduled to take place in Huntington, Elkins, Charleston and Morgantown.

“With two weeks until Election Day and two days until Early Vote begins, we need to make sure politicians recognize who this election really is about and that’s the working families of this state,” said Belinda Biafore, chair of the West Virginia Democratic Party, in a news release.

The rallies are free and open to the public. Refreshments, music and activities will be provided as will rides to the polls.

Early voting in West Virginia begins Wednesday.

Election Day is Nov. 8.
