PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. — On Friday, Governor Jim Justice closed all schools across West Virginia for at least two weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, teachers are trying to make sure every student has access to their school work, even if they don’t have Internet access at home.
Hallways and classrooms are empty in Putnam County, as all schools are closed for at least two weeks from concerns over the spread of coronavirus.
“I’m not worried about the food,” Kindergarten teacher Kristy Ord said. “I’m not worried about that kind of stuff. I’m more worried about how this affects our kids.”
