Little Library Honors Marshall

Bret Masters, Cabell County, and his students’ good work are showcased at Yeager Airport in Charleston. His students at Cabell County Career and  Technical Center designed and built a Kelly green “M” shaped library in honor of Marshall University’s new aviation program.

It’s officially registered so it can be found on the world map of Little Free Libraries, littlefreelibrary.org. Anyone can take or leave a book on their way through the airport.

Masters says the project was challenging and rewarding. “Working together through problems and difficulties has been the West Virginia way. This bookcase project exemplified that because everyone cooperated and got involved.” The students are working on another library that will be placed in Huntington’s Tri-State Airport.

Have a colleague we should highlight for their good work? Is there a local or class project we can feature in the next Today? Let us know at mail@wvea.org. Put Kudo! in the subject line.
