CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Gov. Jim Justice on Thursday announced the appointment of a Marshall University leader to the West Virginia Board of Education.
Stan Maynard serves as the executive director of the institution’s June Harless Center for Rural Educational Research and Development. He has more than 40 years of experience in public education, including two decades working to improve rural education.
Maynard succeeds Dave Perry, and his term will go through Nov. 4, 2029.
