OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. - Ohio County Schools will conduct hearings in the coming weeks, looking for input from community members on the school system's academic calendar.
These are a pair of public hearings regarding the 2014-2015 academic year.
Ohio County Schools superintendent, Dianna Vargo said the hearings will give community members a chance to be more actively involved in planning the calendar and give them the chance to get their questions answered.
"We will share information with the community members about the calendar policy that was set forth by the West Virginia Department of Education and each member will be given the opportunity to speak, about their suggestions for the calendar for the coming year," Vargo said.
The hearings will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday Feb. 10 and 24 in the Wheeling Park High School Media Center.
