HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Members of the Cabell County Board of Education have named three finalists in their search for a new school superintendent.
The board announced Friday Hampshire County Superintendent Jeffrey Crook, Cabell County Schools federal programs director Kelly Daniels and former West Virginia Department of Education administrator Ryan Saxe were chosen from an original list of 16 candidates that was reduced to 10.
The three finalists will take part in a second round of interviews next Friday, April 28.
The person chosen will replace current Cabell County School Superintendent Bill Smith who is retiring in July. Smith has had the job since 2005.
