NEA President Dennis Van Roekel visits WV
NEA President Dennis Van Roekel spent Friday, March 4, in West Virginia. Van Roekel began his day at the Capitol with a meeting of the House Education Committee. He then did a live segment of MetroNews Talkline with host Hoppy Kercheval, who was broadcasting live from the capitol complex. (Click here to listen to his segment on Talkline)
After concluding his appearance on Talkline, President Van Roekel made his way to the WVDE for a discussion with State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jorea Marple. His day also included a classroom visit at Riverside High School in Kanawha County.
Before leaving town, Van Roekel taped a segment of the TV show Decision Makers. You can catch Decision Makers at 8 a.m. Sunday on the following West Virginia Media stations:
